Robosoft

Established in 1985 by INRIA researchers, ROBOSOFT has since built, a unique expertise in automating service machines ever since. The application models already available are:
  • Scrubbing machines and vacuum cleaners (C100-R and AutoVacc)
  • Robots for 3D reconstruction of interiors (Resolv)
  • Refueling systems (Oscar) for large fleets of buses and tracks
  • Intelligent electrical vehicles for the transportation of people (CyCab)
  • Window cleaners (Autowind)
  • Image capture for TV channels
  • Both, the expertise and the experience of ROBOSOFT in industrial cleaning automation, largely supported by its mother company GSF (amongst the biggest cleaning contractors in Europe), are worldwide recognized.

Contributing to its present expertise, has been ROBOSOFT’s involvement in several other projects aimed at cleaning automation and the development of mobile robotics for hazardous environments. These projects include Clean (EUREKA), Autowind (CRAFT) and IMSS, a validation project supported by the DGXIII. Of relevance, in respect of the present project, are the recent developments in autonomous environmental sensors for tele-presence, that have been started some years ago in a current R&D project Resolv (ACTS). These are intended to automate the creation of models of remote sites, by means of a combination of 3D images captured from a laser range finder and a video camera. Besides these RTD activities, a number of robots have been designed, manufactured and have been sold by ROBOSOFT. These robots range across all the application fields listed above.
