Tuesday 3 September 2002

Arrival of ROBOVOLC robot. Setting up the Laboratory at the INGV Nicolosi.

Unpacking and testing of both robots. Locomotion test in the lab.

Wednesday 4 September 2002

Preliminary integration test and laboratory test.

Test of locomotion.

Test of Radio LAN.

Test of sensor interfaces (pan tilt, and videocamera).

Thursday 5 September 2002

First field trial at Pizzi Deneri with the First prototype. The first prototype is a simpler version of the final system that has been adopted to perform test on navigation and traction.

Traction and locomotion tests in volcanic environment.

Navigation tests with DGPS and with Laser scanner.
